ATTENTION ALL STUDENT VOLUNTEERS!
You are eligible to participate in the Presidential Volunteer Service Award program which recognizes our student leaders for the time they are giving to others. Recognition includes an official Presidential Volunteer Service Award pin, certificate of achievement and a congratulatory letter from the President of the United States!
For the 2020-2021 award year, hours from April 16, 2021 - April 15, 2022 qualify.
The deadline to enter your hours is March 31, 2022 for the district service award.

This year we are asking that you please log your child's volunteer hours through Skyward only. The benefit is that in doing this you will be eligible for the district SVSA award as well as the PVSA award. SVSA requirements are slightly different from PVSA and are listed above next to PVSA. Your hours will be uploaded to PVSA from Skyward. We will not be able to obtain your child's PVSA award unless the hours are logged in Skyward.
Instructions for Logging Volunteer Hours Through Skyward
Examples of activities for which students receive volunteer hours:
1. Safety Patrols 2. Peer Mediators 3. Broadcasting 4. Girl/Boy Scouts 5. Student Council
6. Volunteering at animal shelters, church or school 7. Keeping scores at games
8. Babysitting or pet sitting for free 9. Helping an elderly neighbor with yard work

Instructions for Logging Volunteer Hours Through Skyward
- Log into skyward - www.skyward.neisd.net
- Click on the aqua colored globe tab at the top left.
- Once you click on that a window will drop down where you will click "Volunteer".
- From there it will take you to the NEISD portal volunteer screen. (If you have not yet linked Skyward to the NEISD portal you will be prompted to do that first. Thereafter, it will bring you to that screen.)
- In the top right corner, you can select for which child you are logging hours. Then a screen will pop up for you to enter the volunteer information.
- For entering more than one day of hours at a time for activities such as patrols, pick a day of the week to log hours and put the total amount of hours for the week. Then, in the description put the activity and from beginning date to end date.
